CVE-2023-37536 4 Apache, Fedoraproject, Hcltech and 1 more 4 Xerces-c\+\+, Fedora, Bigfix Platform and 1 more 2025-02-13 8.2 High
An integer overflow in xerces-c++ 3.2.3 in BigFix Platform allows remote attackers to cause out-of-bound access via HTTP request.
CVE-2023-37464 2 Cisco, Redhat 6 Cjose, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more 2025-02-13 8.6 High
OpenIDC/cjose is a C library implementing the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE). The AES GCM decryption routine incorrectly uses the Tag length from the actual Authentication Tag provided in the JWE. The spec says that a fixed length of 16 octets must be applied. Therefore this bug allows an attacker to provide a truncated Authentication Tag and to modify the JWE accordingly. Users should upgrade to a version >= 0.6.2.2. Users unable to upgrade should avoid using AES GCM encryption and replace it with another encryption algorithm (e.g. AES CBC).
CVE-2023-37211 3 Debian, Mozilla, Redhat 9 Debian Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 6 more 2025-02-13 8.8 High
Memory safety bugs present in Firefox 114, Firefox ESR 102.12, and Thunderbird 102.12. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 115, Firefox ESR < 102.13, and Thunderbird < 102.13.
CVE-2023-37207 3 Debian, Mozilla, Redhat 9 Debian Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 6 more 2025-02-13 6.5 Medium
A website could have obscured the fullscreen notification by using a URL with a scheme handled by an external program, such as a mailto URL. This could have led to user confusion and possible spoofing attacks. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 115, Firefox ESR < 102.13, and Thunderbird < 102.13.
CVE-2023-37202 3 Debian, Mozilla, Redhat 9 Debian Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 6 more 2025-02-13 8.8 High
Cross-compartment wrappers wrapping a scripted proxy could have caused objects from other compartments to be stored in the main compartment resulting in a use-after-free. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 115, Firefox ESR < 102.13, and Thunderbird < 102.13.
CVE-2023-37201 3 Debian, Mozilla, Redhat 9 Debian Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 6 more 2025-02-13 8.8 High
An attacker could have triggered a use-after-free condition when creating a WebRTC connection over HTTPS. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 115, Firefox ESR < 102.13, and Thunderbird < 102.13.
CVE-2023-36478 4 Debian, Eclipse, Jenkins and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Jetty, Jenkins and 1 more 2025-02-13 7.5 High
Eclipse Jetty provides a web server and servlet container. In versions 11.0.0 through 11.0.15, 10.0.0 through 10.0.15, and 9.0.0 through 9.4.52, an integer overflow in `MetaDataBuilder.checkSize` allows for HTTP/2 HPACK header values to exceed their size limit. `MetaDataBuilder.java` determines if a header name or value exceeds the size limit, and throws an exception if the limit is exceeded. However, when length is very large and huffman is true, the multiplication by 4 in line 295 will overflow, and length will become negative. `(_size+length)` will now be negative, and the check on line 296 will not be triggered. Furthermore, `MetaDataBuilder.checkSize` allows for user-entered HPACK header value sizes to be negative, potentially leading to a very large buffer allocation later on when the user-entered size is multiplied by 2. This means that if a user provides a negative length value (or, more precisely, a length value which, when multiplied by the 4/3 fudge factor, is negative), and this length value is a very large positive number when multiplied by 2, then the user can cause a very large buffer to be allocated on the server. Users of HTTP/2 can be impacted by a remote denial of service attack. The issue has been fixed in versions 11.0.16, 10.0.16, and 9.4.53. There are no known workarounds.
CVE-2023-35074 3 Apple, Fedoraproject, Redhat 8 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 5 more 2025-02-13 8.8 High
The issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in tvOS 17, Safari 17, watchOS 10, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma 14. Processing web content may lead to arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2023-35001 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more 15 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 12 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
Linux Kernel nftables Out-Of-Bounds Read/Write Vulnerability; nft_byteorder poorly handled vm register contents when CAP_NET_ADMIN is in any user or network namespace
CVE-2023-34462 2 Netty, Redhat 11 Netty, Amq Broker, Amq Clients and 8 more 2025-02-13 6.5 Medium
Netty is an asynchronous event-driven network application framework for rapid development of maintainable high performance protocol servers & clients. The `SniHandler` can allocate up to 16MB of heap for each channel during the TLS handshake. When the handler or the channel does not have an idle timeout, it can be used to make a TCP server using the `SniHandler` to allocate 16MB of heap. The `SniHandler` class is a handler that waits for the TLS handshake to configure a `SslHandler` according to the indicated server name by the `ClientHello` record. For this matter it allocates a `ByteBuf` using the value defined in the `ClientHello` record. Normally the value of the packet should be smaller than the handshake packet but there are not checks done here and the way the code is written, it is possible to craft a packet that makes the `SslClientHelloHandler`. This vulnerability has been fixed in version 4.1.94.Final.
CVE-2023-34455 2 Redhat, Xerial 7 Amq Broker, Amq Streams, Camel K and 4 more 2025-02-13 7.5 High
snappy-java is a fast compressor/decompressor for Java. Due to use of an unchecked chunk length, an unrecoverable fatal error can occur in versions prior to 1.1.10.1. The code in the function hasNextChunk in the fileSnappyInputStream.java checks if a given stream has more chunks to read. It does that by attempting to read 4 bytes. If it wasn’t possible to read the 4 bytes, the function returns false. Otherwise, if 4 bytes were available, the code treats them as the length of the next chunk. In the case that the `compressed` variable is null, a byte array is allocated with the size given by the input data. Since the code doesn’t test the legality of the `chunkSize` variable, it is possible to pass a negative number (such as 0xFFFFFFFF which is -1), which will cause the code to raise a `java.lang.NegativeArraySizeException` exception. A worse case would happen when passing a huge positive value (such as 0x7FFFFFFF), which would raise the fatal `java.lang.OutOfMemoryError` error. Version 1.1.10.1 contains a patch for this issue.
CVE-2023-34414 2 Mozilla, Redhat 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more 2025-02-13 3.1 Low
The error page for sites with invalid TLS certificates was missing the activation-delay Firefox uses to protect prompts and permission dialogs from attacks that exploit human response time delays. If a malicious page elicited user clicks in precise locations immediately before navigating to a site with a certificate error and made the renderer extremely busy at the same time, it could create a gap between when the error page was loaded and when the display actually refreshed. With the right timing the elicited clicks could land in that gap and activate the button that overrides the certificate error for that site. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 102.12, Firefox < 114, and Thunderbird < 102.12.
CVE-2023-34241 5 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 6 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more 2025-02-13 5.3 Medium
OpenPrinting CUPS is a standards-based, open source printing system for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. Starting in version 2.0.0 and prior to version 2.4.6, CUPS logs data of free memory to the logging service AFTER the connection has been closed, when it should have logged the data right before. This is a use-after-free bug that impacts the entire cupsd process. The exact cause of this issue is the function `httpClose(con->http)` being called in `scheduler/client.c`. The problem is that httpClose always, provided its argument is not null, frees the pointer at the end of the call, only for cupsdLogClient to pass the pointer to httpGetHostname. This issue happens in function `cupsdAcceptClient` if LogLevel is warn or higher and in two scenarios: there is a double-lookup for the IP Address (HostNameLookups Double is set in `cupsd.conf`) which fails to resolve, or if CUPS is compiled with TCP wrappers and the connection is refused by rules from `/etc/hosts.allow` and `/etc/hosts.deny`. Version 2.4.6 has a patch for this issue.
CVE-2023-3417 3 Debian, Mozilla, Redhat 7 Debian Linux, Thunderbird, Enterprise Linux and 4 more 2025-02-13 7.5 High
Thunderbird allowed the Text Direction Override Unicode Character in filenames. An email attachment could be incorrectly shown as being a document file, while in fact it was an executable file. Newer versions of Thunderbird will strip the character and show the correct file extension. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 115.0.1 and Thunderbird < 102.13.1.
CVE-2023-3390 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat 12 Linux Kernel, H300s, H410c and 9 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's netfilter subsystem in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c. Mishandled error handling with NFT_MSG_NEWRULE makes it possible to use a dangling pointer in the same transaction causing a use-after-free vulnerability. This flaw allows a local attacker with user access to cause a privilege escalation issue. We recommend upgrading past commit 1240eb93f0616b21c675416516ff3d74798fdc97.
CVE-2023-3354 3 Fedoraproject, Qemu, Redhat 10 Fedora, Qemu, Advanced Virtualization and 7 more 2025-02-13 7.5 High
A flaw was found in the QEMU built-in VNC server. When a client connects to the VNC server, QEMU checks whether the current number of connections crosses a certain threshold and if so, cleans up the previous connection. If the previous connection happens to be in the handshake phase and fails, QEMU cleans up the connection again, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference issue. This could allow a remote unauthenticated client to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2023-3341 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isc and 1 more 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Bind and 6 more 2025-02-13 7.5 High
The code that processes control channel messages sent to `named` calls certain functions recursively during packet parsing. Recursion depth is only limited by the maximum accepted packet size; depending on the environment, this may cause the packet-parsing code to run out of available stack memory, causing `named` to terminate unexpectedly. Since each incoming control channel message is fully parsed before its contents are authenticated, exploiting this flaw does not require the attacker to hold a valid RNDC key; only network access to the control channel's configured TCP port is necessary. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.2.0 through 9.16.43, 9.18.0 through 9.18.18, 9.19.0 through 9.19.16, 9.9.3-S1 through 9.16.43-S1, and 9.18.0-S1 through 9.18.18-S1.
CVE-2023-3301 2 Qemu, Redhat 4 Qemu, Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2025-02-13 5.6 Medium
A flaw was found in QEMU. The async nature of hot-unplug enables a race scenario where the net device backend is cleared before the virtio-net pci frontend has been unplugged. A malicious guest could use this time window to trigger an assertion and cause a denial of service.
CVE-2023-32665 2 Gnome, Redhat 2 Glib, Enterprise Linux 2025-02-13 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in GLib. GVariant deserialization is vulnerable to an exponential blowup issue where a crafted GVariant can cause excessive processing, leading to denial of service.
CVE-2023-32636 2 Gnome, Redhat 2 Glib, Enterprise Linux 2025-02-13 4.7 Medium
A flaw was found in glib, where the gvariant deserialization code is vulnerable to a denial of service introduced by additional input validation added to resolve CVE-2023-29499. The offset table validation may be very slow. This bug does not affect any released version of glib but does affect glib distributors who followed the guidance of glib developers to backport the initial fix for CVE-2023-29499.
