Included in Log4j 1.2 is a SocketServer class that is vulnerable to deserialization of untrusted data which can be exploited to remotely execute arbitrary code when combined with a deserialization gadget when listening to untrusted network traffic for log data. This affects Log4j versions up to 1.2 up to 1.2.17.
CVE-2019-17569 | 6 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 3 more | 17 Tomcat, Tomee, Debian Linux and 14 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.8 Medium |
The refactoring present in Apache Tomcat 9.0.28 to 9.0.30, 8.5.48 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.98 to 7.0.99 introduced a regression. The result of the regression was that invalid Transfer-Encoding headers were incorrectly processed leading to a possibility of HTTP Request Smuggling if Tomcat was located behind a reverse proxy that incorrectly handled the invalid Transfer-Encoding header in a particular manner. Such a reverse proxy is considered unlikely.
CVE-2019-17563 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 14 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 11 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
When using FORM authentication with Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.29, 8.5.0 to 8.5.49 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.98 there was a narrow window where an attacker could perform a session fixation attack. The window was considered too narrow for an exploit to be practical but, erring on the side of caution, this issue has been treated as a security vulnerability.
CVE-2019-17545 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Opensuse and 2 more | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Backports Sle and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
GDAL through 3.0.1 has a poolDestroy double free in OGRExpatRealloc in ogr/ogr_expat.cpp when the 10MB threshold is exceeded.
CVE-2019-17498 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libssh2 and 3 more | 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libssh2 and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
In libssh2 v1.9.0 and earlier versions, the SSH_MSG_DISCONNECT logic in packet.c has an integer overflow in a bounds check, enabling an attacker to specify an arbitrary (out-of-bounds) offset for a subsequent memory read. A crafted SSH server may be able to disclose sensitive information or cause a denial of service condition on the client system when a user connects to the server.
CVE-2019-17455 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
Libntlm through 1.5 relies on a fixed buffer size for tSmbNtlmAuthRequest, tSmbNtlmAuthChallenge, and tSmbNtlmAuthResponse read and write operations, as demonstrated by a stack-based buffer over-read in buildSmbNtlmAuthRequest in smbutil.c for a crafted NTLM request.
CVE-2019-17451 | 4 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Binutils, Leap and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
An issue was discovered in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.32. It is an integer overflow leading to a SEGV in _bfd_dwarf2_find_nearest_line in dwarf2.c, as demonstrated by nm.
CVE-2019-17450 | 4 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Binutils, Leap and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
find_abstract_instance in dwarf2.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.32, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite recursion and application crash) via a crafted ELF file.
CVE-2019-17361 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
In SaltStack Salt through 2019.2.0, the salt-api NET API with the ssh client enabled is vulnerable to command injection. This allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the API endpoint to execute arbitrary code on the salt-api host.
CVE-2019-17358 | 3 Cacti, Debian, Opensuse | 3 Cacti, Debian Linux, Leap | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
Cacti through 1.2.7 is affected by multiple instances of lib/functions.php unsafe deserialization of user-controlled data to populate arrays. An authenticated attacker could use this to influence object data values and control actions taken by Cacti or potentially cause memory corruption in the PHP module.
CVE-2019-17185 | 3 Freeradius, Opensuse, Redhat | 3 Freeradius, Leap, Enterprise Linux | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
In FreeRADIUS 3.0.x before 3.0.20, the EAP-pwd module used a global OpenSSL BN_CTX instance to handle all handshakes. This mean multiple threads use the same BN_CTX instance concurrently, resulting in crashes when concurrent EAP-pwd handshakes are initiated. This can be abused by an adversary as a Denial-of-Service (DoS) attack.
CVE-2019-17178 | 3 Freerdp, Lodev, Opensuse | 3 Freerdp, Lodepng, Leap | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
HuffmanTree_makeFromFrequencies in lodepng.c in LodePNG through 2019-09-28, as used in WinPR in FreeRDP and other products, has a memory leak because a supplied realloc pointer (i.e., the first argument to realloc) is also used for a realloc return value.
CVE-2019-17177 | 2 Freerdp, Opensuse | 2 Freerdp, Leap | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
libfreerdp/codec/region.c in FreeRDP through 1.1.x and 2.x through 2.0.0-rc4 has memory leaks because a supplied realloc pointer (i.e., the first argument to realloc) is also used for a realloc return value.
CVE-2019-17133 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
In the Linux kernel through 5.3.2, cfg80211_mgd_wext_giwessid in net/wireless/wext-sme.c does not reject a long SSID IE, leading to a Buffer Overflow.
CVE-2019-17069 | 3 Netapp, Opensuse, Putty | 3 Oncommand Unified Manager Core Package, Leap, Putty | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
PuTTY before 0.73 might allow remote SSH-1 servers to cause a denial of service by accessing freed memory locations via an SSH1_MSG_DISCONNECT message.
CVE-2019-17068 | 2 Opensuse, Putty | 2 Leap, Putty | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
PuTTY before 0.73 mishandles the "bracketed paste mode" protection mechanism, which may allow a session to be affected by malicious clipboard content.
CVE-2019-17055 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.3 Low |
base_sock_create in drivers/isdn/mISDN/socket.c in the AF_ISDN network module in the Linux kernel through 5.3.2 does not enforce CAP_NET_RAW, which means that unprivileged users can create a raw socket, aka CID-b91ee4aa2a21.
CVE-2019-17042 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Opensuse and 2 more | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Leap and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
An issue was discovered in Rsyslog v8.1908.0. contrib/pmcisconames/pmcisconames.c has a heap overflow in the parser for Cisco log messages. The parser tries to locate a log message delimiter (in this case, a space or a colon), but fails to account for strings that do not satisfy this constraint. If the string does not match, then the variable lenMsg will reach the value zero and will skip the sanity check that detects invalid log messages. The message will then be considered valid, and the parser will eat up the nonexistent colon delimiter. In doing so, it will decrement lenMsg, a signed integer, whose value was zero and now becomes minus one. The following step in the parser is to shift left the contents of the message. To do this, it will call memmove with the right pointers to the target and destination strings, but the lenMsg will now be interpreted as a huge value, causing a heap overflow.
CVE-2019-17041 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Opensuse and 2 more | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Leap and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
An issue was discovered in Rsyslog v8.1908.0. contrib/pmaixforwardedfrom/pmaixforwardedfrom.c has a heap overflow in the parser for AIX log messages.
