CVE-2023-3611 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 11 Debian Linux, Kernel, Linux Kernel and 8 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net/sched: sch_qfq component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The qfq_change_agg() function in net/sched/sch_qfq.c allows an out-of-bounds write because lmax is updated according to packet sizes without bounds checks. We recommend upgrading past commit 3e337087c3b5805fe0b8a46ba622a962880b5d64.
CVE-2023-39352 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Freerdp and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Freerdp and 1 more 2025-02-13 5.3 Medium
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. Affected versions are subject to an invalid offset validation leading to Out Of Bound Write. This can be triggered when the values `rect->left` and `rect->top` are exactly equal to `surface->width` and `surface->height`. eg. `rect->left` == `surface->width` && `rect->top` == `surface->height`. In practice this should cause a crash. This issue has been addressed in versions 2.11.0 and 3.0.0-beta3. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
CVE-2023-38545 5 Fedoraproject, Haxx, Microsoft and 2 more 19 Fedora, Libcurl, Windows 10 1809 and 16 more 2025-02-13 8.8 High
This flaw makes curl overflow a heap based buffer in the SOCKS5 proxy handshake. When curl is asked to pass along the host name to the SOCKS5 proxy to allow that to resolve the address instead of it getting done by curl itself, the maximum length that host name can be is 255 bytes. If the host name is detected to be longer, curl switches to local name resolving and instead passes on the resolved address only. Due to this bug, the local variable that means "let the host resolve the name" could get the wrong value during a slow SOCKS5 handshake, and contrary to the intention, copy the too long host name to the target buffer instead of copying just the resolved address there. The target buffer being a heap based buffer, and the host name coming from the URL that curl has been told to operate with.
CVE-2023-34416 2 Mozilla, Redhat 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more 2025-02-13 9.8 Critical
Memory safety bugs present in Firefox 113, Firefox ESR 102.11, and Thunderbird 102.12. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 102.12, Firefox < 114, and Thunderbird < 102.12.
CVE-2023-34319 3 Debian, Linux, Xen 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Xen 2025-02-13 7.8 High
The fix for XSA-423 added logic to Linux'es netback driver to deal with a frontend splitting a packet in a way such that not all of the headers would come in one piece. Unfortunately the logic introduced there didn't account for the extreme case of the entire packet being split into as many pieces as permitted by the protocol, yet still being smaller than the area that's specially dealt with to keep all (possible) headers together. Such an unusual packet would therefore trigger a buffer overrun in the driver.
CVE-2023-32216 1 Mozilla 1 Firefox 2025-02-13 9.8 Critical
Memory safety bugs present in Firefox 112. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 113.
CVE-2023-31419 1 Elastic 1 Elasticsearch 2025-02-13 6.5 Medium
A flaw was discovered in Elasticsearch, affecting the _search API that allowed a specially crafted query string to cause a Stack Overflow and ultimately a Denial of Service.
CVE-2023-31130 4 C-ares Project, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more 6 C-ares, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more 2025-02-13 4.1 Medium
c-ares is an asynchronous resolver library. ares_inet_net_pton() is vulnerable to a buffer underflow for certain ipv6 addresses, in particular "0::00:00:00/2" was found to cause an issue. C-ares only uses this function internally for configuration purposes which would require an administrator to configure such an address via ares_set_sortlist(). However, users may externally use ares_inet_net_pton() for other purposes and thus be vulnerable to more severe issues. This issue has been fixed in 1.19.1.
CVE-2023-21255 2 Debian, Google 2 Debian Linux, Android 2025-02-13 7.8 High
In multiple functions of binder.c, there is a possible memory corruption due to a use after free. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
CVE-2022-34671 1 Nvidia 7 Geforce, Gpu Display Driver, Nvs and 4 more 2025-02-13 8.5 High
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows contains a vulnerability in the user-mode layer, where an unprivileged user can cause an out-of-bounds write, which may lead to code execution, information disclosure, and denial of service.
CVE-2020-23258 1 Jsish 1 Jsish 2025-02-13 7.5 High
An issue found in Jsish v.3.0.11 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the Jsi_ValueIsNumber function in ./src/jsiValue.c file.
CVE-2006-20001 2 Apache, Redhat 3 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services 2025-02-13 7.5 High
A carefully crafted If: request header can cause a memory read, or write of a single zero byte, in a pool (heap) memory location beyond the header value sent. This could cause the process to crash. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server 2.4.54 and earlier.
CVE-2023-46136 2 Palletsprojects, Redhat 3 Werkzeug, Openshift Ironic, Openstack 2025-02-13 8 High
Werkzeug is a comprehensive WSGI web application library. If an upload of a file that starts with CR or LF and then is followed by megabytes of data without these characters: all of these bytes are appended chunk by chunk into internal bytearray and lookup for boundary is performed on growing buffer. This allows an attacker to cause a denial of service by sending crafted multipart data to an endpoint that will parse it. The amount of CPU time required can block worker processes from handling legitimate requests. This vulnerability has been patched in version 3.0.1.
CVE-2023-45681 1 Nothings 2 Stb, Stb Vorbis.c 2025-02-13 7.3 High
stb_vorbis is a single file MIT licensed library for processing ogg vorbis files. A crafted file may trigger memory write past an allocated heap buffer in `start_decoder`. The root cause is a potential integer overflow in `sizeof(char*) * (f->comment_list_length)` which may make `setup_malloc` allocate less memory than required. Since there is another integer overflow an attacker may overflow it too to force `setup_malloc` to return 0 and make the exploit more reliable. This issue may lead to code execution.
CVE-2023-45675 1 Nothings 2 Stb, Stb Vorbis.c 2025-02-13 6.5 Medium
stb_vorbis is a single file MIT licensed library for processing ogg vorbis files. A crafted file may trigger out of bounds write in `f->vendor[len] = (char)'\0';`. The root cause is that if the len read in `start_decoder` is `-1` and `len + 1` becomes 0 when passed to `setup_malloc`. The `setup_malloc` behaves differently when `f->alloc.alloc_buffer` is pre-allocated. Instead of returning `NULL` as in `malloc` case it shifts the pre-allocated buffer by zero and returns the currently available memory block. This issue may lead to code execution.
CVE-2023-43641 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Lipnitsk 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libcue 2025-02-13 8.8 High
libcue provides an API for parsing and extracting data from CUE sheets. Versions 2.2.1 and prior are vulnerable to out-of-bounds array access. A user of the GNOME desktop environment can be exploited by downloading a cue sheet from a malicious webpage. Because the file is saved to `~/Downloads`, it is then automatically scanned by tracker-miners. And because it has a .cue filename extension, tracker-miners use libcue to parse the file. The file exploits the vulnerability in libcue to gain code execution. This issue is patched in version 2.3.0.
