CVE-2021-20305 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 2 more 10 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 7 more 2024-11-21 8.1 High
A flaw was found in Nettle in versions before 3.7.2, where several Nettle signature verification functions (GOST DSA, EDDSA & ECDSA) result in the Elliptic Curve Cryptography point (ECC) multiply function being called with out-of-range scalers, possibly resulting in incorrect results. This flaw allows an attacker to force an invalid signature, causing an assertion failure or possible validation. The highest threat to this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
CVE-2021-20277 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 5 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
A flaw was found in Samba's libldb. Multiple, consecutive leading spaces in an LDAP attribute can lead to an out-of-bounds memory write, leading to a crash of the LDAP server process handling the request. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2021-20271 4 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Rpm and 1 more 9 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 6 more 2024-11-21 7.0 High
A flaw was found in RPM's signature check functionality when reading a package file. This flaw allows an attacker who can convince a victim to install a seemingly verifiable package, whose signature header was modified, to cause RPM database corruption and execute code. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity, confidentiality, and system availability.
CVE-2021-20254 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 6 more 2024-11-21 6.8 Medium
A flaw was found in samba. The Samba smbd file server must map Windows group identities (SIDs) into unix group ids (gids). The code that performs this had a flaw that could allow it to read data beyond the end of the array in the case where a negative cache entry had been added to the mapping cache. This could cause the calling code to return those values into the process token that stores the group membership for a user. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity.
CVE-2021-20233 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 12 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 9 more 2024-11-21 8.2 High
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. Setparam_prefix() in the menu rendering code performs a length calculation on the assumption that expressing a quoted single quote will require 3 characters, while it actually requires 4 characters which allows an attacker to corrupt memory by one byte for each quote in the input. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2021-20225 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 12 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 9 more 2024-11-21 6.7 Medium
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. The option parser allows an attacker to write past the end of a heap-allocated buffer by calling certain commands with a large number of specific short forms of options. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-8698 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Intel and 3 more 54 Debian Linux, Fedora, Core I3-1000g1 and 51 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
Improper isolation of shared resources in some Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access.
CVE-2020-8696 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Intel and 2 more 507 Debian Linux, Fedora, Celeron 3855u and 504 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
Improper removal of sensitive information before storage or transfer in some Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access.
CVE-2020-8695 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Intel and 1 more 605 Debian Linux, Fedora, Celeron 3855u and 602 more 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
Observable discrepancy in the RAPL interface for some Intel(R) Processors may allow a privileged user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access.
CVE-2020-8648 7 Broadcom, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 14 Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 11 more 2024-11-21 7.1 High
There is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel through 5.5.2 in the n_tty_receive_buf_common function in drivers/tty/n_tty.c.
CVE-2020-8625 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isc and 3 more 15 Debian Linux, Fedora, Bind and 12 more 2024-11-21 8.1 High
BIND servers are vulnerable if they are running an affected version and are configured to use GSS-TSIG features. In a configuration which uses BIND's default settings the vulnerable code path is not exposed, but a server can be rendered vulnerable by explicitly setting valid values for the tkey-gssapi-keytab or tkey-gssapi-credentialconfiguration options. Although the default configuration is not vulnerable, GSS-TSIG is frequently used in networks where BIND is integrated with Samba, as well as in mixed-server environments that combine BIND servers with Active Directory domain controllers. The most likely outcome of a successful exploitation of the vulnerability is a crash of the named process. However, remote code execution, while unproven, is theoretically possible. Affects: BIND 9.5.0 -> 9.11.27, 9.12.0 -> 9.16.11, and versions BIND 9.11.3-S1 -> 9.11.27-S1 and 9.16.8-S1 -> 9.16.11-S1 of BIND Supported Preview Edition. Also release versions 9.17.0 -> 9.17.1 of the BIND 9.17 development branch
CVE-2020-8617 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
Using a specially-crafted message, an attacker may potentially cause a BIND server to reach an inconsistent state if the attacker knows (or successfully guesses) the name of a TSIG key used by the server. Since BIND, by default, configures a local session key even on servers whose configuration does not otherwise make use of it, almost all current BIND servers are vulnerable. In releases of BIND dating from March 2018 and after, an assertion check in tsig.c detects this inconsistent state and deliberately exits. Prior to the introduction of the check the server would continue operating in an inconsistent state, with potentially harmful results.
CVE-2020-8616 3 Debian, Isc, Redhat 7 Debian Linux, Bind, Enterprise Linux and 4 more 2024-11-21 8.6 High
A malicious actor who intentionally exploits this lack of effective limitation on the number of fetches performed when processing referrals can, through the use of specially crafted referrals, cause a recursing server to issue a very large number of fetches in an attempt to process the referral. This has at least two potential effects: The performance of the recursing server can potentially be degraded by the additional work required to perform these fetches, and The attacker can exploit this behavior to use the recursing server as a reflector in a reflection attack with a high amplification factor.
CVE-2020-5208 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Ipmitool Project and 2 more 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ipmitool and 6 more 2024-11-21 7.7 High
It's been found that multiple functions in ipmitool before 1.8.19 neglect proper checking of the data received from a remote LAN party, which may lead to buffer overflows and potentially to remote code execution on the ipmitool side. This is especially dangerous if ipmitool is run as a privileged user. This problem is fixed in version 1.8.19.
CVE-2020-36385 4 Linux, Netapp, Redhat and 1 more 26 Linux Kernel, H300e, H300e Firmware and 23 more 2024-11-21 7.8 High
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.10. drivers/infiniband/core/ucma.c has a use-after-free because the ctx is reached via the ctx_list in some ucma_migrate_id situations where ucma_close is called, aka CID-f5449e74802c.
CVE-2020-29661 7 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 25 Fabric Operating System, Debian Linux, Fedora and 22 more 2024-11-21 7.8 High
A locking issue was discovered in the tty subsystem of the Linux kernel through 5.9.13. drivers/tty/tty_jobctrl.c allows a use-after-free attack against TIOCSPGRP, aka CID-54ffccbf053b.
CVE-2020-29573 3 Gnu, Netapp, Redhat 9 Glibc, Cloud Backup, Solidfire Baseboard Management Controller and 6 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
sysdeps/i386/ldbl2mpn.c in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.23 on x86 targets has a stack-based buffer overflow if the input to any of the printf family of functions is an 80-bit long double with a non-canonical bit pattern, as seen when passing a \x00\x04\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x04 value to sprintf. NOTE: the issue does not affect glibc by default in 2016 or later (i.e., 2.23 or later) because of commits made in 2015 for inlining of C99 math functions through use of GCC built-ins. In other words, the reference to 2.23 is intentional despite the mention of "Fixed for glibc 2.33" in the 26649 reference.
CVE-2020-28374 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 6 more 2024-11-21 8.1 High
In drivers/target/target_core_xcopy.c in the Linux kernel before 5.10.7, insufficient identifier checking in the LIO SCSI target code can be used by remote attackers to read or write files via directory traversal in an XCOPY request, aka CID-2896c93811e3. For example, an attack can occur over a network if the attacker has access to one iSCSI LUN. The attacker gains control over file access because I/O operations are proxied via an attacker-selected backstore.
CVE-2020-27779 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 12 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 9 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. The cutmem command does not honor secure boot locking allowing an privileged attacker to remove address ranges from memory creating an opportunity to circumvent SecureBoot protections after proper triage about grub's memory layout. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-27749 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 12 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 9 more 2024-11-21 6.7 Medium
A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. Variable names present are expanded in the supplied command line into their corresponding variable contents, using a 1kB stack buffer for temporary storage, without sufficient bounds checking. If the function is called with a command line that references a variable with a sufficiently large payload, it is possible to overflow the stack buffer, corrupt the stack frame and control execution which could also circumvent Secure Boot protections. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
